啁啾光纖光柵是一種折射率調(diào)制周期沿纖芯方向線性變化的光纖光柵,其主要特點(diǎn)是大帶寬,一般可以達(dá)到幾納米或幾十納米。啁啾光纖光柵通常對(duì)信道分別進(jìn)行補(bǔ)償,可以通過(guò)設(shè)計(jì),很方便在色散補(bǔ)償?shù)耐瑫r(shí)買(mǎi)現(xiàn)色散斜率補(bǔ)償,并且還對(duì)放大器的ASE 噪聲有附加的濾波功能。容易實(shí)現(xiàn)器件的小型化。啁啾光纖光柵還可用于多波長(zhǎng)光源的穩(wěn)定合成、短光纖激光的整形、以及制作穩(wěn)定連續(xù)波和可調(diào)鎖模外腔半導(dǎo)體激光。光纖光柵傳感解調(diào)技術(shù)中,也需要用到具有特殊反射波形的啁啾光纖光柵。
